Move Your Team From Reporting to Influencing

Your team is stuck in the details. Equip them with the framework to turn accurate data into strategic business guidance.

The only training program designed by a former FP&A Director to turn analysts into strategic partners.

Finance teams I've trained

... and many finance professional individually

Your team provides the dots.
You are the only one connecting them.

It happens every month: you sit down with your team to review the deck, and the dynamic is always the same.

They present the "What" (the variances, the tables, the waterfall charts). They stop at Reporting.

And then, you have to start the excavation. You are forced to ask the same questions, over and over, just to get them to the Explaining phase:

  • "Okay, but why did this happen? What is the root cause?"

  • "Is this a timing issue, or a real risk to the year-end landing?"

  • "So what? What is the actual impact on the business?"

You shouldn't have to dig for these answers.

A strategic finance team anticipates these questions. They don't just report the news; they move directly to Influencing: bringing you the context, the risk assessment, and the recommendation before you even ask.

Until they do, you are stuck in this loop: spending your energy finding the insight instead of acting on it.

The Shift
From "Reporting" to "
Influencing"

The Reporting Trap (Today)

Monthly Reviews: Feel like a "data dump" of variances

The Slides: Packed with tables, looking like reports

The Content: Backward-looking (Hindsight)

The Outcome: "I'll get back to you on that"

The Influencing Standard (Tomorrow)

Business Conversations: Influence decisions/drive action

The Narrative: Slides guiding the audience to a conclusion

The Insight: Forward-looking options (Foresight)

The Outcome: "Approved. Let's execute."

We Don't Teach "Presentation Skills" We Install a Thinking Framework

Install a Standardized Operating System for Financial Storytelling

Don't rely on individual talent. Give your team a repeatable framework to turn data into influence, every single month.

Step 1

The Signal Filter

(Message)

The problem

Analysts often confuse volume with value, burying the critical insight under 50 rows of accurate but irrelevant data.

The Fix

We use the 3 Filters Framework and the 3 What Model to force analysts to extract the signal from the noise before they open PowerPoint.

Step 2

The Executive Narrative (Story)

The Problem

The team presents chronologically following the P&L structure rather than starting with the conclusion

The Fix

We train them on storytelling structures. They learn to lead with the answer and adapt the narrative specifically for the different audiences.

Step 3

Visual Logic

(Visuals)

The Problem

Dense slides and numerous visuals force stakeholders to read instead of listen, turning a strategic meeting into an overwhelming reading session

The Fix

We don't "beautify" slides; we clarify them. We teach "Glance Value": using headlines that carry the message and visuals that guide the eye to the conclusion.

Step 4

Executive Presence (Delivery)

The Problem

Even with great data, the delivery is rushed, nervous, or overly technical, losing the room even before the difficult questions arrive

The Fix

We drill Public Speaking mechanics and Body Language , ensuring they engage the room as a peer and are capable of dealing with difficult situations.

Developed by an FP&A Leader, not a Public Speaking Coach

I am Soufyan Hamid. I’m not a "presentation coach" who learned the finance context from a textbook.

For 17 years, I worked in Audit, Consulting and Strategic Finance at organizations like PwC, Deloitte, and Proximus.

I have lived the same cycles you live today: The monthly reporting grind, the high-stakes ExCo presentations, and the pressure to deliver answers when the numbers aren't cooperating.

But mostly, I know the specific challenge of leading a finance team.

I know what it’s like to have smart analysts who know the data, but struggle to tell the story. I know the energy it takes to extract the insight from them so you can defend the strategy to the Board.

I built The Finance Circle to solve that specific friction, combining the rigor of a Controller with the influence of an Executive.

Your Team is One Framework Away From Influence
